[accordion ] [panel title=”What is a tGroup? ” ]

tGroups are small groups of people who meet together on a regular basis. They are drawn together by common interests, a specific topic or activity, or a particular demographic.

In addition to offering a place of gathering for similar interests, tGroups also offer a place of community and spiritual growth.  So, whether you are reading through a Bible Study together, serving with one of our World Transformation projects, or sharing a common interest, tGroups offer that place for growth. [/panel] [panel title=”What will happen at a tGroup? ” ]

Every tGroup will be different.  The possibilities are endless for when, where, why, and who will get together.  All tGroups have one goal – seeing each member of the group transformed by leading them to Jesus and into a deeper relationship with Him.

At TRA we believe that Christian growth does not happen on an island.  God created us to be in relationship,  REAL, honest relationships.  As our relationships grow so does the opportunity for growth.  Therefore, tGroups are guided by the E4 Principle – found in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 – 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.  In other words the tGroups serve together, lift each other up when they fall, comfort one another, and stand together when life gets rough!

What will be the same for each group is this…   Before the end of the tGroup, leaders will have done the following three things:

1. Facilitate a discussion by asking group members, “What has the Lord taught you in the last week? How have you grown in the Lord?”
2. Continue discussion by asking group members, “What have you done to share the love of the Lord with others this week?”
3. Ask group members for prayer needs and pray for each person. Make sure every person is prayed for every meeting.

[/panel] [panel title=” Where can I find resources for my tGroup? ” ] At TRA we do not believe in reinventing the wheel.  We simply want things to work.  We have found many great leader resources at www.elevationchurch.org.  You will notice several similarities between TRA tGroups and Elevation Church eGroups!  [button url=”http://www.elevationchurch.org/groups/resources” color=”blue” width=”full” ]Click here for Elevation Church eGroup leader resources.[/button] [/panel] [/accordion]
